Ice skating rink

Great on a Tuesday night! Cheap entry and not too crowded!

The building is looking tired and in need of some paint. The facilities are good and the ice ring is well maintained. The cafe is basic but it's good to be able to get a coffee and a snack. The bumper cars are a treat and offer something quite different. Pricing is reasonable.

Visited here today after booking a standard vegetarian igloo package and ice skating. As much as I love the sun, it made our igloo more like a hot house! So I would recommend visiting in the evening or on a cloudy day if you can. Unfortunately we weren't able to do this. I wouldn't waste my money with the private igloo again. The platter and arancini were tasty. Southern fried broccoli was not too bad but slathered in thick salty bbq sauce that tasted like your standard supermarket squeezy bottle sauce. I imagine the chicken version would be the same. Coleslaw was also very salty and inedible. Ice cream sandwich is just pre-packaged/commercial (not made by the chef) and served in it's wrapping. The ice skating rink is small, but fun and we enjoyed it as there weren't many other people around. I think some more effort could got into making the whole area feel more wintery" as it felt quite unfinished. Service in the ice skating area and in the igloos was good

The Cockburn Ice Arena is an awesome place to go. My son loved the ice bikes too. Don't forget to wear thick socks and a jacket because it gets pretty cold after a while.

Unfortunately they weren't open when we went, but we will be back to try it out and hopefully make this 3 stars a 5 star.Edit - still haven't been able to go, but the way that they approached this review is worth 5 stars. Can't wait to eventually go!

Great place for the family. Nice big Family skating arena. Good facilities.

Good venue and friendly staff. First game back for 2023 was sold out and they had to adjust accordingly to handle to volume of people coming in. Could probably invest in bar code readers if these volumes continue as I felt for the Team checking everyone in.Cheap tickets and cheap beers. Good range of beers available.Great views from the bar and floor area.If they could broaden their liquor licence it would be nice to have a drink downstairs as it was 4 people deep and we couldn't see from the bar.Otherwise good venue and I look forward to the Perth Thunder winning again!

Session started at 1pm, there was no one at the front counter till exactly 1pm.Why charge people for a 1 to 3 session if half the rink don't get served till 1:30?The hire skates were terrible, my partner had to take her skates back 2 times due to broken plastics stabbing her feet.The ice was so watery and uneven, felt like I was skating on lake.If you come to this rink, make sure you pack a pair of floaties and some beach towels ⛱

Great value for money as it is $15 including skate hire for a two hour public skate session. Lovely staff and a very quiet rink (in my experience) which is good if you're like me and fall on your butt regularly! Definitely coming back.

Wow we had a awesome night out. Great food. The igloo we were sitting in was fantastic. Friedly staff
